The district administration has started a drive to clear pending files in all departments, P.C. Jaffer, Deputy Commissioner, has said.
Files, except those related to court matters, would be disposed of in a month. Officials who failed to keep up the speed should face disciplinary action, he said recently
He was speaking at the district vigilance committee meeting. Two revenue officials have been suspended for dereliction of duty and negligence in correction of faulty land records. Action had been initiated against nine others, Dr. Jaffer said.
Earlier, Mallikarjun Khuba, MLA, complained that officials in several departments were corrupt. The highest level of corruption was in the department of minor irrigation.
