Medical Council of India likely to approve 100 MBBS seats for BIMS

Bangalore: 413 Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) seats in the state’s five colleges are likely and expected to be approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI) by the end of this month.

The MCI visited the state and expected to grant its permission for admission of students in five colleges - 100 seats each in Government medical colleges in Raichur, Bidar and Shimoga, 50 seats in Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Hubli, and 63 seats in S S Medical College, Davanagere, according to Minister for Medical Education Ramachandra Gowda.

Bidar: road to be widened to 60 ft

Biotech park proposal for Bidar gains momentum


Bidar: The Karnataka Veterinary, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Sciences University has constituted a high-level committee on the setting up of a biotech park in Bidar.
The University is the nodal agency for establishment of the Bidar Boitech park. The State has appointed Ernst and Young (E&Y) as the project consultant for the proposed biotech park.

By Road:
From Bangalore Many Private Luxury AC or non AC Buses run Via Bellary and Gulbarga or Via Hyderbad. example. Pavit Travels, VRL travels , Pooja travels , Shakuntala travels , Shree travels.

Many Govt Luxury Buses of KSRTC ply daily via Hyderbad, Its 16 hours journey from Bangalore via Hyderabad on NH 7 and NH 9.

From Hyderbad Imaliban bus stand for every 15 minutes a Bus to Bidar is available from Plat form No 36
Bidar is also connected by road with Nanded.


By Rail : Rail facility is available from Bangalore and Hyderbad.
Bangalore - Nanded Link Express Via Bidar, Departure from Bangalore at 9.50 PM.

Secundrabad - Manmad Express from Hyderbad Departure at 6 PM from Secundrabad Station,Hyderbad.
Hyderbad - Aurangabad Express from Kachiguda weekly thrice.

One can also take Udyan express or KK Express from Bangalore reach Gulbarga and take a bus from there, its 105 KMS from Gulbarga.
