The Centre on Wednesday sanctioned 199 new polyclinics, eight of them in Karnataka, for the benefit of ex-servicemen living in far-flung areas.
Clinics in Karnataka
The clinics in Karnataka will be in Kolar, Tumkur, Hassan, Shimoga, Bangalore, Gulbarga, Bidar and Virajendrapet (Kodagu). After the Kargil episode, the government approved 106 polyclinics at military stations and 121 clinics at non-military stations as a welfare measure for soldiers.

BIMS ( Bidar institute of medical science) college await MCI nod

The newly appointed board of governors to the Medical Council of India will have to take a call on admission of fresh students in five medical colleges in Karnataka within the next 20 days.

State government is setting up One out of five bio-tech park in BIDAR

To retain its top status as the leading biotech investment destination, the state government is setting up five bio-tech parks such as nutria-nutraceuticals and a phyto-pharmaceuticals park at Mysore, marine bio-tech park at Mangalore, agri-biotech park at Dharwad and a vivarium park at Bidar in north Karnataka.
