Three-day wine festival in Bidar from Dec. 3

The Karnataka State Wine Board will organise a three-day wine festival in the district stadium in Bidar from December 3, chairman Bakkappa Kote said on Tuesday. After a meeting with district officials, he said the festival would serve as a platform for interaction between grape growers, processors and sellers.

It will also help increase awareness about wine as a recreational drink rather than an alcoholic beverage, he said.

Major wine makers like Sula, Elite, Heritage, Richo, Nesara, Madhuloka, and Enotica will participate. Grape experts will speak to farmers, Horticulture Department officials, and agriculture students. The board has organised eight wine festivals across the State.
