Guru Nanak Jayanti was celebrated with religious fervour in Bidar on Wednesday.
Believers took out a procession on the main streets in the morning.
They performed folk dances, sang songs in praise of the founder of the Sikh faith, and shouted slogans for Sikh unity. Youth participated in Halla bol, a mock war, to highlight the need for vigilance and unity.
Mass prayers, bhajans and readings of Guru Granth Sahib were organised at the Gurudwara Guru Nanak Jhira. Mass meals was organised at Langar Hall on the Gurudwara premises.
