The Karnataka Janapada Academy will organise Akhila Bharata Janapada Sammelan in Bidar from April 23. The three-day festival of folk arts will include seminars, workshops, exhibitions, and a procession besides performances by folk artistes, a press released issued here on Tuesday said. As many as 19 sub-committees have been formed for the event, Deputy Commissioner Sameer Shukla said in a release.
The State Government has released Rs. 25 lakh for the event, which is estimated to cost Rs. 1.26 crore. The academy will release Rs. 10 lakh while gram panchayats and
teachers will donate Rs. 56 lakh.Source : The Hindu
